Newsletter | Term 2, 2020
A warm welcome to new members of our small but dynamic club. Your child has recently enrolled in one of the Recreation Tumbling or Competitive Trampolining sessions the club offers. Our newest athletes are: Adam, Charlize, Felix, Hera, Jack, Lara, Matilda, Oscar, Riley, Seb, Winifred, Zara, Breeze, and Lewis.
Our next fundraiser is a Kids Disco on Friday 26th June at the Lake Hawea Community Centre (LHCC). The club needs your support to make this event a success, so come along with your friends and their kids, and if you are able to help out at the Disco please email the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org. And if you have a great idea for a fundraiser let us know!
The club is very grateful to New World 3 Parks and Foodstuffs (South Island) Community Trust whose generous support has enabled us to purchase a Dollamur Flexi-Roll mat. We are using this multi-purpose mat as a Double Mini Tramp run up strip and a Tumbling strip in our Tumbling sessions at LHCC.
Jump on our website to find club news, the class timetable, info about our sport and more. Did you know that trampolining was inspired by a trip to the circus? Go to wanakatrampoline.co.nz to find out more.
It has been great to see everyone back bouncing and tumbling after Lockdown. We have been really grateful to all participants and parents taking on board the measures we were required to introduce for Level 2 and were disappointed that some really keen, regular participants were unable to enrol for Term 2 due to the enforced reduced capacity.
Although we are now at Level 1, classes will remain the same for the rest of the term, with any changes to class sizes, times etc. only being introduced for Term 3. The shorter sessions and smaller groups have worked extremely well for some classes and we are looking to keep this option in place for some of our youngest participants for future terms whilst reverting back to our previous arrangements for classes with older children in.
After a carefully planned re-introduction to Trampolining and Tumbling skills, all youngsters are doing amazing things and have very quickly picked up where they left off and move forward with some great new tricks. We look forward to the rest of 2020 and the exciting skill progressions that we can see happening for all our participants.
